- 2 powerful Welding functions:

1st Function: Delete double lines

This function combines the Welding function with the Close Objects function. All vector objects whose distance from start and end point is within the - previously defined - closing tolerance will be automatically closed or connected after manual Welding. It is of particular use when outputting to a laser, as duplicate traverses are avoided. It also reduces output time on cutting plotters and milling machines.

2nd Function: Convert to grid lines

A grid of exactly superimposed rectangles or squares is to be welded. With objects lying exactly on top of each other, the lines overlap, with the consequence that they are cut, milled or lasered more than 1 time. This is either undesirable or takes too long.

Example: Grid lines with orientation arrows after Welding

Applied to the above example, the final result after applying this function is as follows:

1. all duplicate lines have been removed, and 2. welded into one continuous line.

- New in the sidebar: Objects tab

The Objects tab is a sub-element of the sidebar that can be used to address and manage objects. Various object attributes such as visible / invisible, do not output to device, etc. can be set individually for each object. Likewise, objects can be assigned names in order to mark them individually.

The Object Manager

The Object Manager allows the complete management of all CoCut XT object types. A preview window with zoom function provides clarity and overview. The object tree lists all single objects, groups and combinations that are on the working area. Each object can be selected by clicking on it.

The 3 tabs of the Object Manager:

1. The Object types tab

The Object Types tab lists all existing object types and allows their selection. With a mouse click, only the objects that have been selected are displayed on the working area. This provides an overview of the working area and facilitates access to objects in complex jobs.

2. The Object names tab

The Object Names tab lists all individually defined names that have been assigned to specific objects in the Name field. Names can be used to customize and select.

3. The Attributes tab

The Attributes tab lists all the restrictions that can be assigned to an object, such as not visible, not printable, etc.
