Betreff: Outlined Text In Corel | Name: George (innawards@aol.com) | 28.04.2002 07:05:20

Hello,

I am using Corel Draw 9. I am having problems cutting text with outlines.
When CoCut is launched the screen asks if I want it to acknowledge the outline. I select the box and click OK. The next screen allows me to choose Automatic. But when I get back to the cut screen the lettering has more cut lines then it needs.

I also use Corel9 and CoCut (Standard) This is what I do. Type your text out then duplicate it. Now you have 2 copies. Change the color on one of them(example 1 red 1 black). Pick the black one, using the pen tool outline to the thickness you need, then weld them together. If it doesnt work the first time you can break them apart and weld them again. This works good for thickening up fonts as well. Or you could get a plug in called sign tools for Corel9 that does all that in 1 step and adds a few other neat affects as well. Hope I helped, it is a few more steps but works well.
