Betreff: Cocut cutting and importing from corel problem | Name: Rebecca Mueller (lil_leege@yahoo.com) | 18.07.2002 14:45:48

i have a big 8mb file that i am trying to cut. i try to get it into cocut by using copy in corel and then the paste special option in cocut. I am running a pentium 3 256mb ram. it locks the computer up when i try to do this. Their are about 60,000 objects in this file. Is this a limitation of cocut that cause this? does cocut have any certain number of objects that it can cut? or import in? My next question is that i tried cutting this same file in half and then pasting only half of it into cocut. when i did this it pasted in fine but when i got to the cut preview screen to hit thew final cut button before cutting it came up with an error: cocut has cause a general protection fault in module .....dlll and then it closed out the program. what caused this? i tried it several times and it did the same thing and i got the same error message. Would a bigger computer fix any of these problems???? and can you quew up several cutting jobs without having to hit "go on cutting" when the first job finishes????
thank you for your help

Why do have so much objects? Are there copies of objects in the same file?
If so, you should use the copy or stack function in the cutting window.
How much objects can be handeled depends on the character of the objects (group or combination) and out of how much nodes they consist of. There is no specific limitation how much objects can be handeled with CoCut. This depends also on the computer, RAM, OS, Host program, etc.. Your computer is equipped very well. A bigger one wouldnt fix any of this problems. Queueing jobs without having to hit on go on cutting is possible using the option stack processing in the CoCut window. While your plotter is cutting one job, you can send new jobs in the cutting queue.
Is it possible that you mail us this job to support@eurosystems.lu? We will examine it and try to find a solution how you can fulfill your job.
