Question:

Betreff: cocut pro with summa cutter | Name: John Bradley (jbdart@humboldt1.com) | 19.06.2001 18:50:07

Cocut and the cutter do not communicate
windows 98
Corel 9
co cut 9 pro
with patch installed
summa pro T1300
com1 communicates with summa cutter control and read back
cocut wont read width for material or cut but goes through all screens
whole system WAS working fine
all setting correct per summa tech and book
when plotter changed to HPGL, Gerber software cuts just fine.
Going backwards here! Why put stuff into Gerber that was done in corel and AI?
Can you help me? We even un and reinstalled cocut. We did just about everything we can think of...?

Hello John,

first of all, set the plotter back to DMPL language or use the Standard HPGL driver of CoCut. Next you should have a look in the Windows system control and check, if the communication parameters for the COM port are the same as the summa cutter control reads from your plotter. Normally there is only one parameter to change: the fow control must be set to "Hardware".

Best regards
