Betreff: Media Speed With OPUS | Name: Michael Dickman (michael@speedgraphics.net) | 23.05.2002 19:42:13
I have a Summa 1440 with OPUS and love it. However, I have encoutnered several problems while the media is being feed during the registration mark finding process... the media moves very quickly during this stage no matter what the cut speed is set at. Since the media I am cutting is 36 inches wide by, anywhere from 5 - 20 feet, it gets crunched or contorted becuase its moving back and forth too quickly. Is there anyway to slow that part of the process down? Trying to catch it during this process and "help" it is nearly impossible. Thanks as always!

If you reduce the speed of the plotter also the speed, between the reading of the markers is reduced as well. You have to reduce the speed directly on the plotter. CoCut/EuroCut set the speed after reading the markers.
Well Im glad there is a way! Im just not sure exactly want steps are needed to make it happen. Can you tell me at what step I need to adjust the speed directly on the plotter. Thank you Horst.
You can set the speed of the plotter by using SummaCutterControl. If you dont have SCC you can download it from www.summa.be.
