Betreff: Vinyl cutting Corel9 clipart via CoCut Pro. | Name: Lindsay Parker (signwave@hunterlink.net.au) | 07.08.1999 05:13:27

I have recently downloaded CoCut Pro demo to evaluate as a replacement for Gerber's Graphix Advantage vinyl cutting software. An ideal test would be to take a Corel9 clipart and prepare this clipart for cutting.
Can anyone assist me with the steps to take me on this adventure?
Also any feedback on CoCut's software when used to cut vinyl.
Regards Lindsay

Dear Lindsay Parker,

it is very simple to cut a clipart, if it is already a vector clipart (if it is shown as curves in wireframe mode, it is a vector clipart):

Select the objects, which you want to be cut and click on the CoCut- (or CoCut Professional-) button in the toolbar of CorelDraw. (If you do not already have this button, follow the instruction "CoCut Installation note for CorelDRAW x" in the CoCut-program group).

In CoCut Professional you will then have the selected objects on the workplace.
Click on the scissors in the CoCut Toolbox, select your plotter and the output port (you have to choose the plotter normally only the first time).
Click on "Cut" and you will then get a preview of the objects, which will be cut. Here you have the possibility to move the objects to another position on the vinyl etc.
As last step you select the menu "Cut" and your objects will be cut.
The demo version will only cut a few objects. The output size of all cut objects will always be 10cm x 20cm and the objects will be crossed over.

I hope this helps a little bit.

Best regards
