Betreff: Roland PNC-1100 wont cut longer than 62.481" without segments | Name: Paul Celano (cecilmar@aol.com) | 20.03.2001 14:20:13

I have a Roland PNC-1100 Using co-cut pro9 with Corel 9. When using Roll material if the length to cut if over 62.481" it begins to segment the job. If width segments correctly, but I cant cut the length in one piece. I tried making the area smaller in Corel and then resizing it in the preview window but the same thing happens.

Hello Paul,

if you have a newer modell of the PNC1100, you can change the framesize by pressing Ctrl-Shift-P when the CoCut-Dialog is opened and then change the value for framesize to a higher value. Older machines cannot be adressed
with a higher framesize value. But this should not be a problem: If the option "wait after segment" is disabled in the cutting dialog, CoCut cuts the first frame, sets an internal origin at the plotter and continues
cutting the next frame without plotting a vertical segmentation line.

Hi Paul,
I had this same problem and was told to select PNC1800, and this gives a much larger cutting length. It works, but does not work well on a continuous basis. So I use PNC1800 for the longer cut only then re-select PNC1100 for all jobs less than the limits.
